Where are the recorder players?

I don't know what to do? I'm struggling to recruit any new recorder players! It's such a beautiful instrument in an exciting series of sizes. My recorder enrichment was cancelled in school where I felt I was making some great headway in dispelling the myths and since then my small flock of players has flown away! I should imagine few if any young players are actively viewing recorder concerts or reading the Recorder society journals that I do! I'm looking for a potential student to fund myself through the lessons and exams but can't seem to find an enthusiastic candidate. Any advice gratefully received x
