Gold Headjoint?
I currently play a lovely Sankyo Artist flute. I would love to upgrade to a solid gold flute but just cannot afford to do it. I might just be able to save up for a gold headjoint for my current flute. Has anyone else done this? Are there great benefits to having a Gold head or am I wasting my money?

I guess it depends how much you love your current flute. You say it is lovely so maybe you don't need to upgrade. On the flip side if it is a life long ambition to own a solid gold flute then a head joint is a step in the right direction. If it doesn't work out you can always sell it!
