How I adore the recorder!

It's such a shame so few people play the recorder! I love it so much! It's so fast and effortless and a single breath lasts for miles! I'm very lucky to teach a treble recorder enrichment class in one of my schools and the children take to it so easily. Everyone is itching to take their recorders home and get practising! I don't know why the primary descant has such a hard time. Year 3s are so keen but they so quickly dwindle. My year 7 treble players are excited to pick up a larger version and can see how quickly they progress!  Perhaps recorder should be introduced later with the treble rather than whole glasses of year 3s with its rather squeaky (at times) counterpart.
