exams!

Exam time again!!! today a little girl played me her Grade 4 pieces so we could make a decision about the June exams. I explained what needed to be done and suggested she needs to at least double her practice in order to pass. I suggested November might be a more reasonable goal..... her face fell!!!!
I asked her if she was disappointed about not doing the exam in June. She nodded solomly. Right then, if she wants to do it then she must but  it's up to her to prove it's the right decision.

There is nothing stronger than a student's personal motivation. without it their journey is unsustainable. I love it when a student wants to prove me wrong. It's a wonderful strength of character that can only be admired!

Fingers crossed for a positive result! x
